General / Off-Topic whatsapp spam opt out help please

Hi

I dunno if you guys know about the new Whats app Ts&Cs they have bought in through the back door? we have 30 days to sign out before our details are passed to facebook for spam marketing... however apparently the way to (partially) sign out is

go to Settings > Account > Share my account info in the app and uncheck the box/toggle the control displayed there.

however there is NO such tab in my whatsapp (share my account info simply isnt there)... does anyone have any ideas? I do not really want to uninstall but equally dislike facebook with a passion (was a sad day when they bought out oculus)

Have you got the most recent version of the app, it may be an older version so the option isn't showing yet?

I should say thanks though as I was only aware of this after reading your post! The option was there for me, so thanks for the heads up [up]

Is this option still available in WhatsApp if I want to do this before deleting WhatsApp?
