when are the guardians gonna show up and end us all?

so, now that we have woke up their ancient enemy... one they have defeated before... AND brought them back closer to their last known location...
when is the guardian tech gonna "wake up" n start wiping both our plagues from the galaxy?
i think it should start with the equipment we've been foolishly using their tech to boost...

ive got this idea spinning around my mind whereby they have been just monitoring stuff from the tech we adopt from them.
sort of a "solid state entity" type of existence for them, until they need to actually re-enter the physical world.
i mean, why inhabit a physical body of any kind if you dont require one? it just comes with a whole pile of extra needs and wants...
but it would be funny if one day all our guardian tech started fighting us.
