When can I release animals to the wild ?

I have now got to the stage where I am over flowing with sub-adult's and new born's in almost every exhibit, I don't need the money but want the conservation credits for releasing into the wild. How long do I have to wait to be able to do this, is it the stated time it takes each animal to reach maturity in the Zoopedia ? Will i get a notification when animals get old enough to release as I can't remember 9 different exhibits breeding schedule (especially the frogs !!!).

I have tried after a year or two moving some into the trading center but only have the option to sell for cash.

Once the animal is an adult you can. Some become adults in three years, some in one. And some in ten or more.

Not all animals can be released into the wild. And some, that could; have that option greyed out.

Not to mention, that if you buy an animal, it can't be returned to the wild, unless you bought them for conservation credits.

Thank you both for the info, I think I need to match the sexes in some exhibits at this stage.

I've been building bachelor groups so they don't fight and then periodically switching my males and females in to avoid in-breeding. Seems to be working so far as a work-around.
