When DEADLY?

I have just passed the 5015 Bounty Kills with a profit from Bounties at 81,373,695 CR. I also have 807 Bond Kills and my profit from Bond Kills is 9,592,688 CR. I have been Dangerous since have about 2,850 bounty kills.

My question is this. Can anyone tell me roughly when I can expect to reach DEADLY?

Thanks a lot in advance folks.

Just keep at it, pick fights with higher ranked pilots (NPC or players) to give the progress a bit of a push.

To be honest, I'd like to actually keep my 'Dangerous' rank :). It's not too intimidating but it doesn't sound like I'm a complete tool either. Which is where my skill's at. 'Deadly' just sounds... silly.

Good luck commander!

Thank you for highlighting this post. I have seen it many times and indeed a good guide but not now with the new guidelines. It says DEADLY at 4,200. I passed that mark ages ago.

Cool and thank you very much for letting me know I need to get another 2400 kills. At least I now have a target to aim for and for this I thank you sir.

It's not broken, the requirements were increased at the same time that bounties were increased.

Great advice sir and I thank you for it. I have a good all round kill ratio. I target and kill as many Anacondas, Pythons, Drop Ships and Clippers at RES and NAV points. But there are many more smaller ships that appear as WANTED and in need of my weapons and Anaconda to sort them out.

Deadly is seriously hard to reach, because RES pirates never spawn above Master. I guess Elite is a real nightmare with that restriction.

When ELITE? Seriously...

Having nearly 10k of total kills, it fells im stuck or something. Did get my Deadly rank, within 4500-4600 total kills, and its was during Lugh CG... And managed to hit above double of my kill count since, yet still Deadly. I do both RES and war zones to keep my counts on similar level. Usualy gained next rank when Doubled my totals, but it wont worked with final rank.

I think the SHIP you flying while killing it makes a noticable diffrence... And RES hunt is slower over war zones for sure. There is something beside "kill count" within rank gain. Some kind of "value" points, as Elite Anaconda sure has more worth of "something" over novice Siderwinder beside kill count. Kinda like XP but hidden.

Same thingy for us, If I kill that Elite Anaconda with stock Sidewinder, do I gain more points or same amout if kill that NPC with my 300M Anaconda? For me, seems it works kinda like that. Otherwise, we all would have rank up, by gain same kills amount... yet anyone seems have own unique "total" from stats (assa, bount, bonds), when they rank up.

Im not 100% sure about ships we fly atm, but im pretty sure about "vaule" of npc.

Still dangerous, I read a forum post that says theres an underlying point system rated on size of ship and level of pilot vs your rank and size of ship.
I sorry I don't have the link but it seemed to be his own theory based on the quickness you gain levels when starting out and virtually everything is larger than you.

I have no idea of the mechanics of this but I've been dangerous a very long time and big ships are my priority target as I would guess for most hunters....

Yes in an Anaconda...

So you supposed to be Elite, many kills ago right? But nope. Still Deadly. I know the feelin.

Ya, anything what can ever spawn in RES surely is worth less than Ladyhawke of yours aint you think? While Elite Condas from warzones, might be only ones who match up in ship worth (just like W&T works) but again, there is few of them in war zones...

(Rank + Ship+Ship Value) vs. (Rank + Ship+Ship Value)

14,704.... ok, I wont be hunt with my annie anymore... i try smaller and cheaper ship, maybe Fdl? In warzones, Condas & pythons are "stronger" in Cost, so i would see if would reach that total as well, while remain Deadly.

The only thing I my I recall FD saying is that it would be number of ships with a factor of the ships rank taken into account.

Now that the race to elite has been concluded I see no real reason why FD would need to withhold the formulae for each profession. It would save an awful lot of brow beating and angst from those CMDRS desperately seeking thier next rank! ...at the cost of people then focussing on whichever method is the most efficient way of ranking up and ignoring all others! ;)

First thou purchase the Game. Then thou must count to deadly. Deadly shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be to deadly. To elite shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count to dangerous, excepting that thou then proceedeth to deadly. Unto dev is right out. Once the number deadly, being the number of the counting, be reached, then player may ask until elite.
