When flying around with camera to position myself.. how do I raise & lower?

moving back forward.. check
spinning in a circle.. check
tilting angle.. check
how do I just raise and lower my camera view.

Sometimes I am at the base of my coaster and I wish I could just go straight UP from where I am to see the track piece above. How?

Press "T" to enable "free cam" then use Q and E to go up and down,
Press "T" again to disable free cam so Q and E will go back to rotating
