when is the next update

I guess roughly after internal Q&A failed to test it.

haha, that's what paying customers are for. EVE has lived on masochist customers for years, why should they try to be any better?

FD staff are on hoilidays until 5th jan so maybe a few days after that

See, this is particularly galling.

Release an unfinished, game with incredible, game breaking bugs

- transaction failures causing people to loose large amounts of credits
- transaction failures blocking people's cargo holds with ghost cargo
- Explorers needing to get moved back to starter areas and loosing all ranks gained in the process
- far too frequent match maker and arbitration server failures
- people's accounts becoming inaccessible, making them unable to log in.
- half of the promised game features missing

And then take off for an extra long holiday on the backs of your customers...

Actually it not extra long, most people I know have had about the same time off over the christmas as ED. Frontiere has staff dealing with the most important issues that crops up.

the dev team isnt as big as eve online, they got the game out, they might loose a lot of customers due to these bugs, but word is heavy develpment will tke place once they are back 3 months the game should be a playable peace of beauty

You might well be correct and I'll be very happy if you are.
I am not mad about bugs and missing features.

But I'm shocked about the data corruption happening from failed server transactions. That is some serious stuff and they are certainly lacking fail safes...
And the fuel credit bug, that is just one symptom of the bad transaction code has been reported and known since beta 3.x.
I find it amazing that fixing that didn't get absolute priority over most anything else.

Randomly loosing player's hard earned credits might be fine in a game where credits don't matter. But when credits are the thing that matter most, since your ship is your level, and there's only a single effective way to gather the masses of credits needed for larger ships and that way is space trucking, which is particularly tedious, repetitive and boring to the point of me taking any excuse to spend time in Excel instead of Elite, Credit balances should be treated with equal precaution they would use for real money.
