When its HOT outside

Here in the UK we have had our hottest day of the year so far, it definitely had me reaching for a cold drink and an ice cream. Just wondering whether weather :) will play a part in the park management aspects of the game!

Will we see ice creams melting quickly when it hot or even guests getting dehydrated or sunstroke and needing medical assistance?
Will we see the park run out of ice cream all together after a mad rush, so we will have to manage stock levels?
Will we see guests avoiding the ice creams on cold days and going for a hot chocolate instead?

In fact have we even seen an Ice Cream brand????

UK Hot day = 20 C, lol. our hot days are 40+ C

I like your points but not sure how they would implement quicker melting to ice creams, Dehydration wouldn't be that hard and if you have water areas these become more busy.

I hope when it rains it doesn't stop the guests from going on the rides.

It should be just like real life, large numbers of guests start going inside (Maybe this is a good time to mention that the game should have ARCADES) but a few guests, like me, will just enjoy the shorter lines.

(Picture of me drenched in the rain at a park can be found in the thread about real-world ride breakdowns!)

Frontier would have to make sure that rain does not penetrate overhangs or roofs, not like RCT3 where when it rained, the rain got everywhere.

Hey Life Paused,
20 degrees is knocking on below average for UK summer temperature. As a nation of very variable weather, we act pathetic and I'll-equipped to deal with anything that isn't average, whether it's a single flake of snow bringing our roads to a standstill or warmer temperatures causing people to get really ill with sunstroke and dehydration, as if they've never seen that fiery orb in the sky before.
The North is cooler, but London often hits the high twenties or early to mid 30s. It was over 30 here in Lincolnshire yesterday and we're pretty much halfway down England.

As for Cosmic Cow not selling Ice cream I've seen pleny of guests walking away from stalls with what looks like a yummy ice cream cone.

Anyway, back on topic, I hope weather affects business in our parks. More hot food and drink being sold when it's cool and more cold drinks, food when it's hot. Also agree about rain. Unless it's unsafe to operate, I wouldn't want rides closing or guests not riding en masse just because of a little bit of rain.

The problem with our weather in the UK is not the weather itself but the nation as a whole. We like to complain about everything. An average summer in south Scotland, where I live, is normally about 25 degrees C, anything above that and people complain about sunstroke, anything below that and people complain about not having sunstroke... It's hilarious really, considering I've been in Florida for 3 weeks and yesterday was the coolest day (just a nice low 30 degrees) I was actually very pleased it wasn't 37 any more like the first week I was there [big grin]

Also, I heard that there was a thunderstorm in my home town last night... 7 rumbles of thunder is what I was told... It's a daily (sometimes twice daily) occurence in Florida in the summer and I can assure you, once I return to Scotland, a measly 7 rumbles will not scare me in the slightest [haha]

I'm originally from NYC, and when I was a kid we went to Key West Florida. It was funny because it was a balmy 60 degrees F, and the people down there were walking around in overcoats while we walked around in shirtsleeves.

I arrived in NYC yesterday after a rather bumpy landing at JFK airport and despite the fact there's a supposed heatwave here at the moment it's nice and pleasant after the humidity I've suffered for the past 3 weeks.

I like this idea. I felt like the first-aid stalls in RCT3 seemed like an afterthought. They were good in principle, but implementation made them feel like cash machines/ATMs. Perhaps this time there could be a nurse station with roving medical staff responding to people who got overheated, sick, or injured.

Also, on hot days the guests will more than likely want to go on water rides like the log flume or river rapids. [rolleyes]

You may roll your eyes but actually that's exactly the kind of thing I want to see in a game like this.
Im all for realism, but this game is fantastical! Theres a lot of people who want seasons or "winter" parks with snow. I dont think thats realistic, but it would be cool. Would that mean guests wouldnt ride the rides? I mean most parks I know of shut down in the winter. Maybe we could turn pools into hot springs [big grin] I hate the slogan "simulation evolved" lololol

How cool would it be to have a park that was a sphere like Super Mario Galaxy [hehe] like, I made a big sphere and tried to build a coaster looping around it, but I'm not very good I need more practice lololol

We could also turn our lakes into ice skating rinks.

OHHHHH <Ahem> [yesnod] I never seen that at a theme park before but I think it would be really awesome [up]
