When selling exploration date to boost influence, do I sell it all at once or a set amount every day? Does it matter?

Just curious as I need to boost my systems influence since we lost control of the system when I went exploring. (system has approximately 2.5 million people)

there is not much effect after 10-15 mio per tick - so i'd suggest selling it of in those chunks.

i don't know of a test, though.

influence goes to station controlling faction.

2 million credits worth of data = one tenth of max swing for target faction, unopposed. It goes up to 8 million for twice that, and 32 million for 3 tenths of the max swing unopposed (per tick). So, you hit diminishing returns very quickly. It's more effective to sell exploration data in small clumps of 2-8 million a drop, in addition to whatever other work you're doing. It needs to be sold at a station controlled by the faction you're supporting.

it will depend on the population of the system as well as if there is any opposition or not.
you will have to test your system to see.
but sell each item as 1 at a time, never sell by the page.
the values change sometimes due to dumb updates and changes but it is roughly 30k credits per 10k population to move 0.1%, to give you a ballpark.

the influence effect of any action is bound to starting influence.
you won't get same influence gain from same action for a faction at 8% and one at 80%.

population size might apply by max influence change as @lee said above.

It's okay to sell by the page, it's the total value of the explo sold that counts. It's just wise to not sell past diminishing returns. Time in/influence out isn't worth it past about 8 million. You should normally only exceed that when you have lots of data you don't want to carry around.
