When should I be able to start doing Assassination missions?

I have 1.1 million in assets right now, and am flying a Viper. Loadout is 2xC2 Gimballed Multicannons, 2xC1 fixed Beam Lasers.

Lightweight alloys, B power, B thrust, D frame shift, D life support, B power distrib, D sensors, C shields.

How close am I to being able to take on an Anaconda? What should my loadout be? (I'm pretty sure I need shield battery thingies, lol)

Elites anacondas are so easy in this game and they are the top npc atm!! is a joke... a skilled pilot can take down one in a sidewinder , you can go now for it , is easy just get on the tail of the conda and use chafs and shield cells till they die , if you use gimballed weapons target the power plant , is almost imposible to die.

Get a Shield Cell and a class A power dist, then practice using reverse gear + strafe. Make sure to use "Subtargets" to target the power generator or frameshift drive. Enjoy!

Should I be using a Class 3 shield cell bank, for my class 3 shields? Or is using Class 2 shield bank alright? :-s

lets see a video of you doing this.

The turrets on the elite anaconda can shoot you when you are behind, and chaff didn't seem to do anything to them in the past.

depends how much of the shield you want to regenerate.
A2 are pretty good if you don't want to put in an a3

A2 shield cell and a chaff in a viper with 4 MC gimballed? my god anacondas are easy i dont even have to foce myself to play properly just back 1 or 2 pips on shield 3 on engines and 2 in weapons and chaf/shield cell easy , and im a new player to the game imagine what isinona can do with a sidewinder...

When you have four guns, two for shields and two for hull, you are good to go.

I've killed about 40 with a viper. Sidewinder is very different. Its only got 2 size 1 weapon slots so will take forever to get its shields down, even using an eagle would be very difficult.

I'd get 2 multicannons and 2 beam lasers. Up to you which ones are size 2, the bigger beams will take the shields down quicker, the bigger multicannons will take the hull down quicker. Get a A4 shield generator and a A4 shield cell, might want to get some more shield cells if you aren't sure about how much damage you can avoid. Pop the shield cells when your shields are low, then find a thread about shield cells being OP and add your voice to it

I've not tried dumbfire missiles yet, but they do extremely big damage. Not sure how well the anacondas point defense turrets deal with them, you might want 2 beam lasers and 2 missile racks to do it even quicker.
