When will FD addresses silly implementations and modify them to be properly functional?

They are legion, for they are many.

But two specifically stick in my craw.

One is the two hud modes. Seriously, why?

Two is galaxy map option when you select a star in the navigation panel (not the button for the actual galaxy map).
If you select a system then you want to see the system map for that system, right?

Well, since FD went with two hud modes we can presume they think it was a good idea. I personally have no idea why they did it and it actually annoys me. For example, its silly perhaps, but you can't fire mining lasers the same time as you fire other weapons. If for example, i have turrets on my mining ship and i want to continue mining while my turrets deal with priates, i can't.

Regarding your second, not sure what you mean. If i select a system in my left panel i want to target it, i don't want to see the system map! That would be frustrating beyond belief.

The two HUD modes are, currently, a bit annoying. Especially since the fire groups are not mode-specific. It's a bit of a cumbersome implementation for sure.
We can only speculate that they have future uses for HUD modes.

As for the NavPanel system selection, no, I want to target the destination system, not open the System Map. It's especially useful for quickly getting away when under fire.

Annoying? That is annoying?

What about consol-ish (no offence Console players, but playing on PC I want to use PC input hardware) navigation which would be 1000% more convinient to just use mouse? Gazillion movement control for free camera when simple mouse click and wiggle would do the trick.

But no - ED is also console game and console does not support such sophisticated feature as mouse. And making two different steering mechanics is way to complicated, development wise. I can understand it, developing 2 different UIs is time and resource consuming but I'm really fed up with PC games being downgraded to suit 1 stick and 3 button console controller.

And don't even start on outfitting. Whole station menu (with notable exception of commodity market) is so cumbersome and desperately ask for full mouse implementation.
