When you enter a USS and find a nice Emperial Clipper that's wanted...check contacts

So I was traveling around a few systems just seeing what's there and getting bounties along the way. Found a USS and decided to drop in. Found an Imperial Clipper that instantly started shooting me screaming I'm space dust or some such. So I engaged him...OK...this Clipper is tougher than I expected. We are both taking a beating. I'm working the power management, trying to keep the shields up and weapons firing. I get his shields down and start into his hull.....get him to 25%....yes! I pull out and get my shields back to full. Sweep back in and take down his shields again. I'm on his 6 and ripping into his drives. We both boost at about the same time then he boosts again immediately and turns on me....I pulled up and he dove but it was too late......wham....

He explodes, my shields are offline and my hull is at 6%.....but I got him YES!!!!

Then the message appears.....100CR for the destrution of criminal blah blah....son of a.....

The fight was great but I should have checked his bounty first.....I ws just so excited to come nose to nose with a Clipper piloted by an Expert....:eek:

That was a great read! I'll keep it in mind. What were you flying?

How exactly do you check the bounty amount again? I forget and maybe others reading might be wondering too.

Also make sure to K-scan, as you can potentially get a far higher bounty. That 100 bounty may have been in the current system/faction (my guess), but he could have had a HUGE bounty under a different faction.

Yeah, I completly screwed this one up (I've got a KWS)....I've got 300 Bounty kills under my belt....I just go excited about seeign this ship and blew it.

I'm flying a Cobra that's pretty well kitted. I'm trying different weapons since I've been using fixed for some time now I've gone to gimballed (great until the target uses chaff)...plus it feels strange with the ship doing the work....

Left panel contacts will show the ship info as well as Bounty amount.
