When you hit that uninspired streak...

So I seem to have come to that point where I don't really feel inspired to create anything, even though I want to start a new park. How do you guys overcome this?

I Google places around the world, looking for a challenge. Then imagine a park where that is the theme. Most fail, but I have fun trying.

I am totally unspired atm, due to lack to tlc by Frontier, so yesterday and toady played Democracy 3 political simulator and did various scenarios on 200% difficulty and after getting 97% popularity on the vote and 3 trillion surplus even that gtes boring.

If only Frontier could take a shaving off Demo3's superior game intellect then wow what a game PC would be :)

This is easier if you know about manufacturers and coaster models, but one thing I do is I will try to create a coaster using a different "style" of coaster. For example, I took the Sprint 500 coaster (Intamin Accelerator), shortened the trains to just two cars, and made the rest of the coaster in the style of the Intamin Blitz coaster, like Maverick or Taron. It's a fun little exercise (for me at least) to see how to adapt one coaster to the feelings of a different coaster.

... you should let Frontier know that "Planet Creator" needs much more than scenery. Scenarios with advanced management, better peep AI and a better balanced real world prestige scale for all rides. Then you'll come to a point where you have to handle new gameplay input and get new inspiration trough that.

I just do other things! Play Rimworld on really challenging settings, Battlefield 1 with friends, mess around with my pond/aquariums, pace around aimlessly. That sort of stuff!

This is the main problem. PC isn't a game, because there is no challenge at all, you can't lose, so in the end it's just a sandbox. Ultimately, to the game it doesn't matter at all what you build. It only matters to you and other people you want to show it to. That's the problem, the game mechanics don't care at all what you do, you can do pretty much anything and you won't even gain anything from it really. You just get more money and more peeps, and ultimately, a stuttering frame rate. This isn't a very rewarding experience. There is nothing to unlock or to gain/win or lose. It's the same boring thing every single park you start as far as management is concerned.

It's just a building game and that aspect is fun indeed, it's just a shame that they only keep cranking out new scenery pieces and rides instead of fixing the underlying problems. Let's hope this scenario editor thing will maybe bring something...

For me im waiting for next months anniversary update to come out. it has a new coaster ride. Until then im not starting a new sandbox park but i still have my current one.

Yes it takes days and weeks to build a good sandbox park and it takes patience and your free time. But once youve completed it you get to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

New content and a good portion of it too... helps keep me going. If and when they release a pool and water slides DLC.... id create 10 more parks.

For NZ and Australia we have summer December to February with a long break especially school holidays and people who have applied for time off during this popular period. We thus have a lot more time to put into our parks.

The fantastic creations from the workshop often slow me down in my own creativity. I have an idea, see this and that in the workshop, think about how I can integrate it into my own project, just to get better and better than the others until sometime the air is out and I am on the spot. I really have to learn slowly to appreciate my own buildings and to lower my demands on myself a bit
