Personally I think it would be cool, since we know space isn't 'entirely' empty, if space dust would accumulate and cause that effect on the windscreen over time, then of course there would be a function to clean it.

I think it is funny that you can spend millions on a ship and even if it's smallest hard points are medium; the fitted weapons are always the same. Two small pulses.

I told you, you should not have shooed away the downtrodden commanders offering to clean your windows camping at the station letterbox entry... they'd have done it for a few measly credits or a brick of undigestible Christmas fruitcake.

You just hold still right there good sir and drop your shields. I will clean that dirt right off your Canopy with my patent pending FDL Plasma cleaning service. I gurantee that you wont have to worry about a dirty Canopy again*.

Clean a pilot's canopy and it will be clean for a day.

Vaporize a pilot's canopy and it will be clean for the rest of that pilot's life.
