Where are all the High Grade Emissions?

Where did all the HGE's go? Didn't find any after searching for a couple hours yesterday.

Try a populated system. I find at least one in most systems, and then other signals pop up as they do change whilst in the system too.

The reset of the BGS has put every system into State: None; this seems to mean that for the moment HGEs will only spawn in Federation systems (those HGEs will contain Proprietary Composites and Core Dynamic Composites) and in Imperial systems (containing Imperial Shielding). They won't spawn in Independent or Alliance systems because HGEs don't appear there when the system is in State: None.

This evening I spotted a couple of systems in a state of Civil War, so it looks like the BGS is starting to grind back towards the customary spectrum of states. At which point HGEs will appear where they always did; only the method of finding them will have changed.

Im yet to find one since the patch.... Encoded Emissions on the other hand....... I cant scan them fast enough.

They're definitely there. I found a couple last night, unfortunately I can't tell you exactly where because I was moving around a lot.

Not entirely related, but I was a bit surprised after finding a combat aftermath signal and looking for some mats, that this is one of the scenario-signals (asked me to deliver a black box - but I had no cargo rack).

I fully engineered a hull tanking ship the day 3.3 launched and I'm now up to full Proprietary Comps. & 99 Core Dynamics composites. I've found about 4-5 HGE in about 3-4 hours playing. I'm around the Diaguandi (or however it's spelt) system.

And endless other emissions (and I do so enjoy lots and lots of emissions) which filled my lvl 1-4 mats. It's a mat Bonanza out there for CMDR Hacker...

This...Dagwit is mostly right. He missed it per only Federation systems are spawning HGEs. After Beta went live resetting all systems to NONE state they are starting to show up in every system including me currently 600 LY outside the bubble. With the new FSS they are so easy to find. Imagine how easy it will be to find grade 5 mats when the systems get back to their best or worse states depending upon what the player is looking for.
