Okay so i haven't played ED in some time, but one of my favorite things to do with friends is doing some painite mining while they fly around me and protect me from the pirates, we use to do this in the BHOTHO system where i have pristine ice and metallic rings not far from the closest station, i use to get quite a few mining missions from Hudson Orbital but i haven't seen any missions in any of the systems around it that have a extraction, refinery or industrial economies.
Where are all the mining missions hiding?

Certain factions states can negate certain types of missions.
What does it say in the station summary...?

Old thread warmed up. I am in HIP 8865 (Boom). Not a single mining mission. Not in Solovyev Port, not in Covey Enterprise, not in Linteris Ring (High tech/Refinery, I found a suggestion, that these would produce mining missions) in a nearby system. I am sure, I have scanned 100 missions, nothing. Do I really have to fly to an asteroid station?

No more mining missions, they've been taken off the mission boards until further notice due to an 'exploit'.

I actually snorted as I read that. I must be getting cynical in my old age.
It was once lucratively to pirate NPC carrying low temp diamonds.. Nerfed.
Players discovered long range smuggling/cargo missions were good credit makers.. Nerfed
Lucrative Long distance passenger missions.. Nerfed
Lucrative Skimmer missions.. Nuked and invariably will be nerfed
Lucrative Mining missions.. Nuked and invariably will be nerfed
Player retention base.. Nerfed..

TBH, and if you are really honest with yourself, these Mining Missions were a REAL LIVE Exploit of the game and quite rightly should have been removed.
Now the arguments about the others rightly mentioned by you, is a preverbal 'Hot Spud' !!
