Where are all the pirates gone?

So since the latest update I haven't had a single pirate in game, anyone else getting this?

they're still there. Might be a bit rarer - I think I posted about it too, then got interdicted next jump

They've all turned their focus onto me.

All I'm carrying is repair limpets around the Pleiades. I get interdicted almost every third time I'm approaching an NHSS with under a minute on the clock. Frustrating.....

They do appear to be less active, having done around 20 jumps through the bubble carrying 19t of rares without any interest being shown was a little disappointing...

Wonder if it was the fact it was Fujin Tea - and I was sporting two C4 G5 Beam Lasers?

But... Since the recent update I often get an inbox message warning me for enemies when I drop out of supercruise at the mission destination. The game seems to be one step behind in spawning these enemies.
