Where are all the robots?

I must have seen this poster a thousand times when docking all across the Bubble, and yet it only just struck me, where are all the robots? Now, I know about Jaques Station already, but if I'm not mistaken, even Jaques is more of a cyborg than a robot, reconstructed during some long forgotten war and now more machine than human. But the advert in the screenshot above seems to imply full-blown robotic creatures, perhaps with artificial intelligence. I'm genuinely intrigued by this...

Prolly come with space legs

ROBO-LEGS!

The first rule of robots is: Never make robots look like people. The second one is: Never take a robot into space. I think that covers it.

They're supposed to be occupying Multi-Pew seats for solo players, antisocial PG players, and Open players with no friends.
They're not, but they're supposed to be.
It was in that ancient document about what Elite was supposed to have in the future, that we're still waiting for....

spooky. That could explain the holo-me situation. We could just be altering our robots appearance. I don't feel safe anymore.

Now you know why man has always been afraid of living dolls!

It is because we know the horrors of the future. We have seen it. We have been there. Beyond the veil. Time is interconnected.

Having a sentient rogue robot race zipping about in the space lanes in their own ships wanting to, of course, kill every human being might be...interesting.
