Where are customized controller bindings saved in Elite?

Hi everyone,

The rudder potentiometer in my beloved X52 Pro joystick is acting up and I want to temporarily change to a different joystick, a Logitek X3D, while I order a new potentiometer and fix the X52. I want to save my in game controller configuration the way is is now so that I can easily go back to the way it was once I get the X52 fixed. Does anyone know what configuration file(s) in need to save in order to make a copy of my the Elite games current controller settings?

Thanks

c:\users\user name\appdata\local\frontier development\elite dangerous\options\bindings\custom.binds or similar
(for WIN 7)

Your control scheme is located at:
C:\Users\<Windows Profile Name>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\Custom.binds
To find this location, you'll need to go into Control Panel/folder options and make hidden files and folders visible. So once you have your Custom.binds you can go in and make a copy and re-name the copy to whatever you want. I named mine after my joystick model. Leave the re-named file in that same folder and it'll now show up as a preset drop-down at the top of controls. You can even make changes to it using options/controls and it'll be saved as that same name when you click Apply.

Thanks guys, I actually good at Windows and had looked in that general area but looked in AppData\Roaming where there is a Frontier Developments directory too. I looked there found nothing of use and then figured it just be in the main bindings directory where the game was installed.

Thanks for setting me straight so quickly!
