Where are my stored modules located? Odyssey makes it more grindy to know.

In Horizons you can list all your modules AT THE SAME TIME and see where they are (at your current location or somewhere else and what it will cost/how long it will take to retrieve them to where you are now).

Try doing that in Odyssey. Can't be done unless you go through every module class, THEN you can see where something is and the details in transferring it.

Why FDev?

I hated the old storage modules interface - HATED IT . This is great improvement in that you can see modules by class . As to where they are ...well I really only care about how much /long it will take to get them to my current location and it does that well enough . Are you guys playing the same game I am ?

Let's say that you know that you have some modules scattered about the galaxy, and you want them all at your current location. You don't remember which types of modules, however. How will you do that in Odyssey compared to Horizons? Will it be easier to do that in Horizons or Odyssey?

I don't think you even play Elite, TBH.

I think there's an element of resistance to change however there are some extream annoyances with the new UI such as the sell store toggled by default to sell making it easy to lose modules with no warning, the galaxy map is very clunky now and discoveries are behind several clicks devaluing them in my opinion. The mission boards are horrible to navigate, particularly going back and forth to the delivery depot, it's enough to send me back to horizons for doing my delivery missions. That's just a few things that rolled off the tongue

Well sorry to disappoint you chum - I have My current CMDR showing at 8W 2D 7H 31MIN =~ 1400 Hours .
If I have modules that are scattered around the verse - unless they are engineered - I would be selling them .
As it is I know where all my modules are that I have - all 120 of them - they are stashed on my Carrier .

I doubt that

And true enough - I got lost in the Missions interface when I first tried it out - but ....I find the depot idea very clever and I think it is a more natural way of splitting the mission requirements out for transport missions instead of a integral pane with a single bar showing how many more units you have to get . I like it myself .

The point being made is that without going into every single module there's no way of knowing where that module is. The new sorting GUI is great etc etc it just needs a tab called "None Local / Local" at the top which flicks between modules stored where you are currently located and those elsewhere.

For example I've just spent 15 mins trying to find which module I swapped at a station last week when fighting goids, before jumping the carrier home.

I doubt that
You doubt what - You think I am lying ?
Look me up in game - CMDR ROJ BLAKE

Quit **** waving, no one cares and it's not that impressive anyway. It's not an issue to you but it is an issue, you've just not experienced it yet but you will, then you'll understand what the problem is.

You mean I can't disagree with the majority view that the UI is bad ? Okay then - I 'll get back to playing the game then and leave you to all your whining .

No one in here is talking about the UI per se, you're just so keen to tell us how long you've played you've forgotten to read what the issue is.

I'll tldr it for you, there's no way of knowing where your modules are (in game) without cycling through and selecting each individual module.

Anybody that tries to say this isn't an issue...I don't even know what to say. I do like that the modules are now categorized, but there needs to be an easier way to see ALL modules that are not in the current space station you are docked in and to be able to easily move them all.

Additionally, the way you install modules that you already own is clunky. You used to be able to simply choose browse shop OR browse your modules. Now there are extra steps. It is quite annoying and a pretty big flaw considering how it was previously. They are sort of going in the right direction but it is beyond me as to why they removed useful features.

The old UI was much better ! You can not see now which Moduls are in Transfer from one point to your point.. You must select and open each modul to see that ! This sucks !
