Newcomer / Intro Where are the decent upgrades? Everything I find is class "E"

Is it because I am a new player that better upgrades do not show up in equipment docks, or am I just looking in the wrong systems?

Probably just wrong systems, although i understand having a better reputation can open up extra options (not had that confirmed, just what me and a friend seem to have noticed).
