Where ARE the player pirates

12 months on and (although its getting less and less often that i check in on this game) I still find the bounty hunter role is broken.

I just wanna hunt down some badass Pirates, but finding any player pirates is still almost impossible, okay, I did manage to get a few small bounties from wanted players recently but they were merely chance encounters and there really was no bounty hunting involved.

Please FD give bounty hunting some attention, im fast loosing patience and can only grind NPC's for so long....

Probably blockading Robigo, assuming they haven't got occupied with something else after having to deal with people subtly calling them scum of the earth while hiding in solo for so long.

The balance here is difficult to get right, though. If you give player Bounty Hunters too good of tools it will make the game much better for Bounty Hunters, and much worse for Pirates and Smugglers. They should give the Bounty Hunters something more, but if they do they have to give the criminals a good way of countering that.

They gave up because everyone combat logged against them. It's not the most profitable endeavor so people just don't do it anymore. That or they play in solo because they want to max profits.

imo, they should remove solo and replace it with PvE where you can't damage other players.

Pirate ships are always weaker than BH ships. Basically have to fly ~armed trader + piracy whistles vs PvP ship. Also, all piracy capable ships are inferior vs pvp ships.

I suppose a good pirate should always run from the BH, no real profits to earn with them.

If a trader is btw. running a fully armed trader, he actually should have a change vs a pirate. Sure, depends from the ship he is using to trade.

all true. Which is why I don't pirate for the money. I do it because I like to give back. I guess I just care a lot and I need to show it.
