Which start position are you going with first?

Imperial Bounty Hunter
Have the option to start in an Imperial Colony with an Imperial Eagle Mk II Fighter with upgraded weapons and shields and 1,000 CR

Federal Trader
Have the option to start in a Federal border system with a basic Cobra Mk III loaded with cargo worth 1,000 CR and 1,000 CR

Pirate
Have the option to start in an anarchic Frontier system with a stolen but upgraded Cobra Mk III and only 100 CR

Independent Trader
Have the option to start in the Lave system with a basic Cobra Mk III and only 100 CR

Explorer
Have the option to start on the edge of explored space with a long range version of the Cobra Mk III and 3,000 CR

Kickstarter Special
Have the option to start in the founder's world with any starter ship and 4,000 CR

I included a None of the above option, there could be a chance that there are other start positions.

Same here - Sidewinder and 100 creds. I like FD offers but more I think about it more I am convinced that I want to start bare bones from beginning.

Presuming that we can have more than one commander, I'll be starting as an Independent Trader and an Explorer. Not sure which one first.

Of course, when it comes to it I'll probably get carried away and end up playing as something entirely different.

Originally I thought I'd go with the leg up - on the grounds that I served my apprenticeship on the original Elite - but the more I think about the more I like the idea of the basic start..

I've seen enough of that Sidewinder! I'll go with the Kickstarter special, and try my hardest to trade up to an Asp or Viper ASAP. Then the long process of tweaking it into the perfect ship :)

Founders world for me, not that i want the leg up, i just want to see whats there, then sell everything off get a cheap cobra, spend everything on cosmetics and keep 100 credits and off i go :p

Having never played Elite before, I will start with a Cobra or a Viper in our solar system and see where it leads me :)
