Where can I buy a Type 8?

Hey Gang,
Been a while, and this KBD and mouse control thing can bite me.
Whatevs - important thing is.
I thought the Type-8 was going in-game with Ascendency.
I've been to a couple of spots listed as having the T8, and it's not in the Shipyard.

Do we have to buy it with ARX?
I've never bought Arx, and I'm kind of avoidant. This game got about $450 Au from me over the 5 years I played regularly.

Just popping back, mainly to keep my pledge time unbroken and grab a T8.

What am I missing?

While some expected the Type-8 to be available to Odyssey owners for credits with Ascendancy, Frontier announced in the last Frontier Unlocked that it will be available for Odyssey owners to buy for credits on 28th November.
