Where can I find discount ships - FDL and Python?

Hi

I have neen flying around to find discount on FDL and Python, but no luck. All the links on the internet where old.

Can someone please help. I am at Christian Dock in Nganji system.

Still up to date afaik

Currently the best place to go is Li Yong Rui for the -15%, I stay around Lembava and Diaguandri systems. Both next door to each other and each have a ton of ships and outfitting choices. I think in the 35 odd ships I've bought and oufitted I've had to travel elsewhere for maybe 5 of them, mainly the imperial ships.


There are a few bits you can get cheaper (-20%) (Diamondback Explorer, Orca, Asp) by going to specific places. Up to you if you think it's worth the trip for the extra 5% but any savings you make come off insurance too so for ships you expect to die a lot in like racing ships or PvP ships getting every saving is worth it.
Theres also a weapon discount of -20% but given the cost of those weapons it's usually not worth travelling for the extra 5% off unless as above you plan to die a lot. Even the most expensive 4A plasma accelerator is 14mil credits so the 5% difference you'd save by travelling is a mere 700k Cr.

So if I already have a Python for example, if I sold the hull and bought it at Uncle Li Yong Rui's Definitely Not Stolen Used Ship Warehouse, the new one would have a lower rebuy than the old one or if I kept both, the one I bought for cheaper would have a lower rebuy than the old one, right?

You get another 5% discount if you have at least one elite rank too.

Now, if I sell modules at that station or sell a more expensively purchased version of the ship at that location, does the selling price get determined by the price I paid or the price at that station?

Don't forget that the 15% off is not just in the price of the hull.
You also get 15% fewer hit-points and 15% lower power output.

But if you want to buy a cheap knockoff, then good luck to you.

Siobhan's posts really need to come with a satire warning! To answer your other question: the price you sell a component at, is the price you paid.

It is not possible to generate cash by trading components like commodities and "buying low, selling high".

I just wanted to be sure about the power/hull ratings. My Vulture is sadly short on juice to run modules so losing 15% would cripple my vessel and suffocate my commander very quickly. I understand about the selling components at what you paid for them though. That may be a bit longer of a project. It would be quite miserly to go find the exact item you use for your build to squeeze to the smallest possible rebuy on every ship. Even I am not that obsessive, Yet.

Wait, what, I took my Orca to Hutton, docked and went inside. At the commodity section I was offered to trade even steven for a conda of equal value. Though I had had one prior and didn't like it, I turned the offer down as I was drinking gin from my free mug. LOL
