Where did all the opportunity go?

Last night and the night before I could quite successfully make 450-730K per round trip run in trading.

Tonight the maximum available with my same set-up seems to be c.300k.
Twice the work for the same money?

Markets have changed across location-pairs quite significantly in some cases.

It's getting tough to earn a crust out there I tell you.

How will I put my kids through the Academy?

Well I get it, and no-one expected the game to be a total breeze but....

If there's no new functions, no new ships and the markets all dry up; what are we playing for?

Surely there has to be an incentive.

Maybe they need more data on pirate + bounty hunting income or combat balance so they're gimping trading to force everyone to fight.

three conspiration theories:

1) It's because B2 is near and FD is planning a whipe. So trading is no longer encouraged.
2) It's because B2 is near and there won't be a wipe. FD doesn't want people to amass credits on their accounts.
3) B2 is near and FD wants people to find new markets so they don't get bored flying the same routes for weeks while waiting for it...

4) It has nothing to do with B2 being near and you are making less per run because you and others have made the same trip with the same commodities so many times that you're affecting the market prices.

4)...not very likely... it happens on Thursday in a matter of few hours. (in a weekend maybe... with everybody playing their Type-9... but in a Thursday...?).

You know it would take about 30-60 seconds for them to post exactly what they intend. How much code could possibly be written in that amount of time one would think.

Its been suggested before they hire some poor sap at $10 an hour to be a community manager like most companies have and once a week (if that is too much maybe once a month) he could have a conference call with the developers and they could tell them what they were up to this week.
