Where do I find faction missions?

I have been focusing on earning my first mil trading. Just happened today! So where do I go to find imperial of fed "missions"? Thanks!

If I understood the concept of missions correctly, each mission in the bulletin board is posted by a sub-fraction. Each sub-fraction could belong to a fraction like the feds or the imperial or is independent.

So rank progression missions are random?

What do you mean with random? Today I found one rank progression mission for the feds after doing lots of trade runs for one federation affiliated sub-fraction. The rank progression missions are somewhat random but your status with the sub-fraction / fraction changes the likelihood that these missions are displayed in your bulletin board

Ok. Makes sense! I'm allied with two independent stations. I've only dabbled at Fed ports. All coming together now
