Engineers where do i find Hybred capacitors, and cracked industrial firmware?

I have been looking but cant find any. anyone found either of these?

look at the material hint-description.

you can find many materials destroying ships as a bounty hunter or fighting in a combat zone.

I think I found many hybred cap. in a combat zone.

Firmware and similar data you can find scanning data points in surface settlements (maybe there are other sources, too).

Generally speaking, scan everything you can and loot everything you can (bring collector limpets). also drop in the new signal sources for data/materials.

greets

Try USS's. The cracked firmare is there as said in the hint for that material. Look for USS's with threat level 0 as they can be shipwrecks with what you seek.

You wont find it because it doesnt actually exists at all in the game. After two weeks of looking for the cracked consumer firmware for a LEVEL 1!!! upgrade I just gave up. Its not possible to find firmware in the game. End of story. Worst balancing ever.

If you want a specific pointer. I've been getting a lot of the above from doing missions with the engineer linked pirate faction Eurybia Blue Mafia.

Ive managed to find the Hybrid Capacitors, but after the cracked ind firmware i managed to get from a misison, i cannot for the life of me get anything from scanning data points from poi's on planet surfaces...

Well, i've been really dumb yesterday. Like, really. Scanned data points in settlements, got intel packages but no data...? Hm, okay, nothing this time, then. Moved on, next settlement, again, no data... Hm. Drove on prospecting, found that sattelite thingie POI, again, nothing.

Can't be, me thought. Looked at my data 'storage'...

Know what?
200/200...

!

No warning message, nothing.
Just 'full'.

[sad]

Got no clue how many firmware thingies i missed because of that...
200 is really a joke. We're talking data here, not equipment/materials.
Should be nearly unlimited, given possibilities of mass storage as of today, no?

Just a tip, which i learnt the hard way :( .
If you are going to go into a CZ to shoot Authority ships, then choose a Low Intensity. Once in there attack and destroy a ship which is 'Away' from the main battle area. A lone wolf type straggler. Once destroyed being away from the 'Battle' will give you time to pick up the goodies.

If you go to a high intensity CZ, then you will get your bottom kicked pretty damn quick as you stop fighting to pick up the goodies , (Which is the lesson i learnt ;) )

We must have a very small usb 792 drive in our remlock suit for 200 data pieces :p

A warning would have been nice though when you tried to scan with a full data cache. Ive scanned probably 20-30 poi data stalk things in the last 2 days with no luck. Do you need to scan actual planet base data points or do poi's count?

Can you enter a CZ, not choose a side and just pick materials dropped from ships being destroyed or do you have to make the kill shot yourself for the materials to drop?

Nope. You get materials drop only if you kill the ship.

Felt really, really weird scooping polymer capacitors under fire in CZ-s...
I can buy this things in local electronics store whenever i want now in 2016... but 1000 years later, in 3000-something i cannot buy them, i have to collect them from fresh shipwrecks in a warzone while being shot at...
