Where do the capital ships go to?

Where do they dock?
Do they even dock?
Do they have ships that resupply them?

Why can't we dock with them?
Can we resupply them?
Why are oranges called oranges?

It took a few hundred years for oranges to be called oranges ....

"ye olde Persians" had a citrus fruit the called a Narang which some Arabs took to calling a naranj... they then messed around in Spain for a while and our Mediterranean buddies started calling it a naranja and pretty soon the French caught on and decided to drop the "n" and mess around a little and the orenge was born... Then the Brits decided to go for Orange and the colour was later named to reflect that of the fruit...

As for the rest of the questions... May be in a few hundred years we will have some answers :)

The capital could act as a station. I'm not kidding either: according to the wiki the Farragut is as long as a Coriolis station.

Where have all the capships gone, long time passing?
Where have all the capships gone, long time ago?
Where have all the capships gone?
Turrets have picked them everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

They return to the eldritch horrors of the gaping Lore Hole™ from whence they came, where they are tended to by a legion of Probably-Should-Have-Thought-Of-That demons and the spirits of Who-Makes-A-Space-Sim-Without-It.

Actually, I just thought, massive ship yards would be excellent locations for combat scenarios. One of many that could be used as a stage for a war (rather than the static and empty scenarios we have now).

And when not at war, a good place to actually go buy new ships, retrieve ships that have been transferred from another system, etc.

And, occasionally, you could see ships being built. Including capital ships (cue community goal).

Some more thin story telling. They disappear and magically reappear. After all they only exist in a instance within an instance anyhoot, much like the other NPCs. Might see a change from the thin mission/USS structure to something more believable with the new patch...we can only hope.

I've always said CZs should be taking place in strategic areas like orbital shipyards, but there aren't really any other ships to build there, so I imagine it'd just be a yard of either Farraguts or Majestics in various states of construction. I'd like to see more subcapital naval vessels and large civilian ships.

They could build everything there.
