where do you put custom bind files?

so i redownloaded some binds for my x55s? where do i put the file?

Also anyone have a good lay file for the SRV?

In a folder on the desktop. Been there for years.

I actually have desktop icons hidden though, as I don't use them often. I generally use custom pop-up menus instead from the task bar, so I can keep windows open in the background.

Lucky thing though. I haven't had a need to use them until recently when switching to a new controller, which wasn't as easy as it probably should have been, so the backups came in handy. See here for more info on that ordeal. → Forum Thread Link

Edit: Oh, you're looking for the game's folder for them. Never mind then, I guess...

If I may give some advice though... Just bite the bullet and set up your own bindings and see how they play out in the game. A bit of work upfront, but you're better off for it in the end. Or maybe that's just me. I can be way too picky when it comes to these sort of things.

I have the SRV set up so I can drive and use the turret view at the same time independently on a basic controller. It messes with my brain a little, but it's good fun. Not sure how you'd do that on a HOTAS – probably with thumb or HUD controls or something.
