I think you missed out D.C. (District of Columbia); My (admittedly limited) knowledge of US states tells me that D.C. is its own state. Washington is the capital of D.C. as well as a state (Washington state is on the west coast, Seattle is its capital).

That's my pedantry for the day. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
