Given recent events I'd very much like to hear from "the man" himself.

Personally I'd like him to get a good weekend of rest, a bit of a quiet half-day on Monday, and be properly prepped by his assistant come Monday afternoon. Wish him, and the rest of the team, all the best - but there is going to be a massive stinky pile to shift through next week - and I cannot imagine it being pleasant for anyone.

He's in Las Vegas, spending backer money on slots and hookers. He's almost out of funds and needs non alpha/beta backers to pay the extra $15 so that they can get into gamma, that way he can continue playing bingo. Don't worry though, the private investors and publishers are funding development, but to do so they needed to implement always online DRM.

Yes, I thought his post was quite humorous. I find it more amusing people reported it.

Though seriously. He is a business and he is in to make money at some point. This whole deal with offering beta players 25% insurance confirms that they are trying to make beta sales before they release the game. I don't know if they are spending it in Las Vegas as the other poster has said, but it seems they are not spending it on an offline version to be sure.
