As title, where is everyone?
Made my millions, could not yet be bothered to find the Anaconda so sold my L 9 and outfitted a Cobra for combat.
Trundled over to Freeport looking for trouble but duh, only one other Cmdr appeared in over an hour. He wanted to talk, but as soon as you lose target you lose comms - this needs a bit more work I think. We had a little tussle which he ended by ramming me. No hard feelings
Had to kill a few NPCs to pass the time and hope some real people turned up, but no one. So I set off for Dahan and then Eranin, looking for a little trouble. But again, everyone was totally out to lunch. If you are looking for PvP it seems a bit difficult to find even with only 55 systems. When we go to 400 billion systems people (real people) are going to be very thin on the ground imho. I realise there are only a few tens of thousands of players at the moment and obviously only a percentage will be on at any one moment but it is not very busy.
I did see several players in SC so when the 'interdiction device' becomes available you can pull someone out of SC so the sooner the better. Combat zones are all very well but not same as real PCs.
The Freeport tax squad have a great idea but were all out to lunch today, sadly. At least (having lost three fully equipped Cobras) I am glad to report insurance worked fine for me. I wish real life insurers were as obliging. This is not a whinge as I've played quite a few hours, got several millions in the bank and am thoroughly enjoying ED. But imo this is still the bones of the game and (as is promised) needs a bit more meat - trading is fine, but more missions and more ability to interact with PCs would be nice.
