Where is everyone?

First off, I know the galaxy is a bit big, so encounters aren't as likely as other games. But, is there a place where people are congregating? I thought it might have been Sol, but I only occasionally see people there.

Sol and its surrounding systems are definitely still a hot spot. To find a lot of players check Lave and Imperial space surrounding Achenar.

Is Lave where everyone is hanging then? its not 2 far from Sol I don't think.
