Where is my Fleet Carrier???

OK, I just decided to take the plunge and buy a fleet carrier. I have the message 'welcoming' me and its number but the FC is nowhere to be found in the system (Skeggiko O). There are masses of them here of course and so I logged out/in but still no sign. any suggestions please ...

If you look in the carrier management bit from your right hand panel you can use the info in there to find it. The carrier has it's own galmap.

I think if a system gets too full, they get put in a neighbouring system. If you know the registration code, and have system maps on the nearby systems, you can browse through them, and the carrier will be in one of them.

Yep, it probably spawned in an adjacent system. Happens frequently, due to the current system being full. Carrier management panel, or the galmap, will show its location.

Go into Carrier Management in the right hand menu, click Navigation and open the map. The system with you carrier should be selected.

When you arrive in the system, your carrier's signal will be highlighted yellow in the nav menu.

Thanks for all the useful replies.

The message took me to the galmap in the system I was in. As did the carrier mgt info. However now I have just returned and logged back in it IS in an adjacent system - off to find it now ...

Safely there - seems very popular with the local NPCs!
So, unless I did misread everything (always possible) it took a while to re-set.
So, transferring a few ships then off to buy some Tritium before I head off ...

Another noob question - why is the Livery tab not available when I am docked in the Carrier>

Livery can only be accessed by going into Carrier Services -> Carrier Management while docked on the carrier, not through the right hand panel.
