Ok where do i begin......it was a beautiful day and i turn my Xbox on.....all i have to do was to downloading this 1.6 update.....on 8% its just stop.....well ok then..... i stop the update and try to update it from the start but i can't find my game now...its just gone.... ? if there is some xbox experts out there please help

They are updating the servers so that 1.6 can work. Shouldn't take but a couple more hours though!
Have you looked down the back of the sofa?
When I lose things, they usually turn up there, what!
It went down to the pub for a pint or two (or twenty two) while the servers are being updated!
ok i know that but my game is gone from Xbox.....is this just me or all you have this to?
I updated my game at 12pm and was fine. In the my games section doest the game not appear in the ready to install area? If it's not on the ready to install area see if it's available to redownload directly from xbox marketplace. If it offered to charge you back out straight away. But if it wants to charge you it's possibly a licence issue that should solve itself. I had a very similar experience with elder scrolls online where I couldn't reinstall my game from my games area and markey place wanted to charge me again. But after a few hours it sorted itself out. Hopefully this helps somewhat
ok....when i go to "ready to install area" there is only "Elite Dangerous Physics Engine" is this Whole game or just somthing extra?.......
While this thread is about the Xbox version, what normally happen on the PC and Mac version is that first you need to update the Launcher, and then, when that is done and is running, update the main game itself. I don't know if that helps.
Yes if you purchased the whole game before they started releasing arena as a separate paid game. Just click on elite dangerous physics engine. That should install it straight away. Also game saves aren't affected as they are stored on frontier servers.
There are some issues with Xbox Live at the moment which is limiting buying items, redeeming codes, and downloading purchases.

Hmm, I downloaded at lunchtime but when I try to launch the game now it says servers are down - is it the same for everyone?
Yes they ran into a snag while updating the servers. They have a fix and from what I've just read on another thread they announced on livestream they shold be up by roughly 8.30 pm bst

AH, cheers mate - missed that. I now get to the menu but can't get into "full game" yet. No worries, what's another half hour. I'll go play something good looking and fun but ultimately unfulfilling for a bit while I wait.

Just an FYI at the bottom left of the menu screen it has a connection status. Handy for future reference
Oh my word its in depth, I'm frightened. Was going to tinker with something more Hotas-y and fps wish (streamer "look inverted" uses something like that)... but I don't want to break it
