Newcomer / Intro Where is my second ship?

Hi All,
Looking forward immensely to savouring the new Elite, having been a big fan of the original. Haven't had much chance to play, in part because I'm waiting to install for a new video card, but in the quick scan-around I did, I couldn't find my second ship. I paid up in advance for the Mercenary Edition, so was expecting a choice of two ships.
Probably it's down to my unfamiliarity with the game, but if anyone could tell me what I need to do to locate my second ship, I'd be really grateful.

Two ways to find it - look in the galaxy map and there will be an icon next to the system where it's at (there'll also be an icon next to the station if you go to system view). Or go to any shipyard and look at the third tab - top right of where the ships display. That'll tell you you where it is and how far away it is. With any luck it's close. Mine was in the same system.

Greetings.

When on a station / outpost with a Shipyard you will find a tab named Ships with a (number)

Go there and the description will tell you where it is located.
