Newcomer / Intro Where is safe to log out?

Hi all,

I've been saving the game when in a station's hanger, rather than sitting on a pad or dangling in space.

Do I have to do that? Can I save and exit the game when I'm floating in space? Does being in an anarchy affect the decision?

Personally, I prefer logging off while docked but it'd not needed. Anywhere is fine as long as you don't do it somewhere you have enemies I guess.

You can exit anywhere at anytime even in the midle of a dogfight and the opponent will not be able to finish you off while you're away, however this kind of exit is NOT "legal" and you risk that Fdev will see/noticed it and give you some kind of punishment... But only if you use this as a meen of avoiding getting killed if you are not in a fight and simply wants to exit the game then it's okay for you to just "save and exit" when you please and nothing will happen to your ship while you logged off...

Fly safe Cmdr's... ;)
