scratches bullets holes - would be nice to have it but such things are not impemented. Hopefully later...

About the ship look, repairing does not mean something will get a look, if you get your car for inpection they dont do a paintjob....

What does the wear and tear do? I thought maybe it was something visual but I have no idea really.

Would be nice if we had a "Fix Wear & Tear" in the "Station Services"-Tab however ... so we don´t have to switch to "Repairs" just to get our ship a fresh layer of paint.
(This is actually very counter intuitive at the moment ... Repairs can be done in the "Station Services"-Tab, whereas refreshing your paint can only be done in the "Repairs"-Tab :D )

Oh I don't know, actually fixing the ship so it doesn't explode is way more important than getting the paint freshened up so a position right up front seems sensible to me...
If the wear and tear starts to impact ship performance I would agree a central spot on the station screen would then be warranted.

Also it would be great if different components could change how the ship looks, not big changes but some at least.
