I was watching this and thought I would start a thread and see if it can get any better answers. Maybe. Maybe not. I don't use youtube on the level to discuss things on it and it's an unorganized mess with no chance of anything but spam. So...

Where is Springfield in the Simpsons, if anywhere?

I'm not assuming any info in that video or others is correct or incorrect, because I have no idea.

I noticed something I think someone pointed out in the comments through. He eliminates some things base on no coast. But he forgets something. Lakes, rivers, and one of the things nearest the most commonly noted Springfield in Illinois. The great lakes! And they have lots of traditional light houses.

So, starting with that, or anything anyone wants, how would you figure out where if anywhere Springfield is. And is it even in the US? I'm guessing it's almost a given, but you never know.

Maybe this will make a secondary non game related like version of the Where's Raxxla thread! ><

The location of Springfield is an age old question............ yes; I'm a fan of the show.

I think it's the case of fan theories going deeper than they should. It's...everywhere. It's supposed to epitomize your average American town, as indicated by a pretty common and generic name.
At least originally. I feel like show creators realized that there's a troll potential there and started teasing fans by intentionally putting clues to it's location as confusing and nonsensical as possible later on in a show.
