Newcomer / Intro Where is the best place to do pve

Well ive earned 3.7 billion credits and now want to take a break from cargo running and mining and want to do some pve, what station and area is the best place to earn lots of money while playing doing fight missions? I want to fight now but i still want to get that fleet carrier. im a newcomer to fighting only at novice rank i think it was.

I couldn't claim it's "the best" but I think this 2021 suggestion from @Sighman is still a decent strategy, if cash is the object.

In a nutshell: Go to Ngalinn, get rep with local factions, then stack wing combat missions that go to Mainani and use the low-res at the 5th planet to dispatch the enemies (or I guess the haz-res, if you have a decent ship and want a tougher fight). Use fleet carriers orbiting near the resource extraction zone to restock on ammo - I think neither system has a station with restock (!)

It's decent for earning mats, too, and you can progress your Imperial rank at the same time: stop off in the outpost at Mainani and take courier missions when you go back to hand in at Ngalinn, and take more courier missions at Ngalinn to hand in at Mainani on the way out for your next stack of pirate kills.

TY nowski, i just had to quit as i found the fighting very infuriating. First it was pure jousting with hardly any hit time so by the time i got them to twenty percent another ship was already attacking me taking my shields to zero. I tried leaving the krait to go to a vulture for quicker turning speed and i found i was taking a corvettes armour down in 2 % increments, then another ship started attacking me so i just quit. There's no dog fighting just turn battles. Taking ages for a measly 1.5 mil.

Update: I joined a clan to ease aggression actions, it was so hard on my own.

If you're fighting Corvettes, make sure you're in a low res ("Resource extraction site (low)") and not in a Conflict Zone of some kind. Corvette would be pretty uncommon in a low res, in my experience. Make sure the ships you're fighting have "Mission Target" when you target and scan them.

Edit: this is the type of mission I mean:

Investing in engineering will help, and combat definitely takes practice and skill (I'm at a very low rung on that ladder, but I can deal with most things in a resource extraction site in a well engineered ship.)

In a low res site, you will see security vessels buzzing around which will help you out if you lead your enemy towards them. Or you can follow them around and start shooting the targets they engage with, for easy kills (only shoot once you see the target is "wanted" after scanning.)

Regards getting paid, the point of doing a few data courier (transport) missions to boost your reputation is that mission rewards increase significantly once your reputation is high with the locals. Then stacking missions from different factions for the same targets will multiply the rewards per fight - see this thread for example.

Have fun!

I would suggest fitting a C rated Kill Warrant Scanner, the bigger ones are fine if you have the spare power. Then just drop into a RES or Nav Beacon and just shoot anything that comes up wanted on the scan, the KWS lets you claim bounties on the target from other systems.
RES come in Low and High as well to reflect number and toughness of targets, but come with security to help out.
HAZ RES and Compromised Nav Beacons don’t have security.

The advantage of not doing missions is you aren’t constrained about who and where you shoot, there are no time limits and so no penalties. The disadvantage is no rewards.

There are also various signal sources that can offer pirates to shoot at though I believe some of them are traps.

This way where is largely up to you but a system with lots of ringed planets and some stations etc not to far away is what you want.

There are also Conflict Zones but they are wars and the ships you will be up against after dropping in and picking a side will be much tougher and tend to pay less than Wanted targets elsewhere.

Yeah it was conflict zones where i was having a tough time. Thanks guys.
Conflict Zones have always been harder work one way or another, the ordinary NPCs ships in them are all weapons and armour and shields so take an age to kill and the ones like the journalist or enemy captain especially so. Spec Ops in particular have some engineering to weapons.

If you become too detached from the surviving ships on your side or bring to much attention to yourself the enemy will tend to swarm you.

They can be great fun and if cautious done in quite a basic ship.
