Where is the current best place to grind Imperial rank?

I'm looking for a place to grind both Imperial rank and make money. When I worked my way to the federation rank of admiral, I used the Ceos <----> Sothis loop where most available missions went to either Ceos or Sothis. Does anyone know of an equivalent duel system for Imperial rank grind where most available missions follow the same loop behavior and pay well as I can just as easily gain the income from Ceos <---> Sothis or continuing to work out of Shinrata Dezhria. As a FYI, I'm doing this to get from Duke rank to max imperial rank as a additional bonus to earning money. I started playing in v1.2.6 and am already triple Elite and own every ship in the game but haven't gained enough wealth to fully equip every ship.

Cemiess-Vequess is pretty good.
Also there's some far flung Imperial systems to one side of the bubble but I can't recall their name.

Grab a bunch of exploration data and dump it at Cemiess/Vequess and that should get you started.

Thanks, I'll try that

Tried Cemiess <---> Vequess, Most missions there had destinations to places other than each other except for lots of massacre missions. I was looking for something where the two systems only really had missions for each other due to not having any populated systems within mission giving range now that long distance goods hauling missions have been removed.

Anywhere in the Empire. Seriously. There Is no need to look for special or magic setups. Just take as many courier missions you can stand and let them take you everywhere. You'll knock it out in no time. As to making money, well, that's contrary to your goal. You choose Rep or Money, can't get both.

Some light googling will tell you that the Ngallin <> Mainani couriering is the fastest way to Imperial Navy rank - and that had been for several years.
You can often get 20 missions fron Ngallin and 10 from Mainani - without board flipping (anyway it does not work anymore).
Although there are small periods of time when it falters, but that's only because of BGS - sooner or later the factions there will be again in boom state and missions will flow.

There is no such thing for Federation though ... there was less efficient Ceos<>Sothis (and several more) routes, but they were 'patched' by increasing couriering mission range to 20ly and/or adding stations.
It makes me wonder that FDev likes The Empire much more than Federation ;-)

Got my Imperial rank running data missions between Ngallin and Mainani, and even though it was a grind it was acceptable (AFAIR it took me a couple of days).

That's quite some time ago, and I still haven't got that Corvette. I've rescued a lot of rudely impatient passengers from their burning homes, but those are becoming rare. Instead I'm grinding all sorts of 5+ Rep missions, which is more fun than rescue missions. Takes "a while" though...

Ngallin/Mainani seems to be designed for fast Imp rank. AFAIK they both have to be in boom state. You can check the state in the galaxy map before going there.

I did Kamadhenu Shajn (Agriculture) to Yarrite Deslandres (High Tech) went Serf to Duke in 3 days with other stuff to break the grind, lots of chunky C6million ++++ Rep missions, and both High Security.

I went to the Cubeo system. There were ENDLESS amounts of trading fetch quests that paid well and had high reputation gains. So i loaded my Anaconda full of missions and then just made trading runs.

Then I used the money I made in order to make donations.

Just to confirm the Ngalinn /Mainani thing is still working.

Only planned to rank-up to Squire to unlock Elvira Martuuk but, by choosing the "rep" rewards, I keep getting more and more rank-up missions and my advancement to the next level remains at 100%.
So far I've ranked-up Serf, Master, Squire, Knight & Lord and my progress is still at 100%, just by picking up 20 data missions, delivering them and choosing the "rep" reward.

Probably have my Cutter later tonight if it carries on like this.

Stop being in such a hurry to deplete the game's only content. Besides, once you get that Cutter you'll be very disappointed with it, and find out what we're all talking about.

Go do whatever it is you think you "need" a Cutter to do with any other ship, and let the Cutter come to you, so you can park yours like the rest of us and go back to using more interesting ships.

No, but the OP explicitly wants to 'grind', so actually having fun playing the game is not part of the plan.

Umm, yeah.

Having owned a Cutter (2 in fact), on my main account, for about 3 years, I'm pretty sure of what to expect from it. ;)

As I said, I just went to unlock the Achenar permit.
Trouble is, the game seems to be throwing so much rep' at me for doing a bunch of delivery missions that I'm constantly doing rank-up missions.

I can see how/why there's a lot of newbies flying Cutters these days. 🤨
