We'll see by Sunday night ... could be that what they're putting together is so mindblowingly amazing, that it's taking a little longer than they'd hoped.

Either that or they're up to their eyeballs in bugs and just haven't had time.

Only time will tell which one it is.

Worries me the email that went out to kickstarters etc earlier today didn't mention it at all but did say the digital art book would be out sometime in January.

Indeed - it was that that prompted me to ask the question.

Yup, no mention of it in the newsletter or forum responses re: late delivery of the digital guide portion of mercenary digital content. I've asked on the forum and in e-mail but no response at all...

I think the most likely cause for the delay is that Frontier does not wish to publish a manual which explains the game mechanics until those mechanics actually work as described in the manual...

The no reply/lack of clear communication is starting to irritate me. Another small example, in the newsletter they mention the iOS app. It quit working the night before launch. I opened a ticket about it. The first time I had ever received a reply... and the reply was, "we are aware and are working on it".... We are closing the ticket.

That's true, but if my boss asked me when I was going to get some task finished and I said "by the end of the week", he would not be too impressed if I finished it late on Saturday.

A manual almost by definition has to be a last minute though. To cover the actual game rather then the targeted game.
To cover what's in it, and to not cover what's not.

I dunno...I kinda think it would be better for them to wait till Jan on this. Maybe post-wings.
