so like, where is the empire? I got 100k in bounty claims for the empire but I cannot find an empire system. I am surrounded by green and blue dots, but no red. I look in the galaxy map but its nothing but greens and blues, i can scroll whatever which way forever and cannot see any red dots. Also, I uncheck fed/alliance dots and everything on the galaxy map gets greyd out! x_X I feel like I'm billions of light years from any empire systems. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm currently hanging around Hach, pretty close to sol.

Also, use zoom. It helps.

In the starmap you can set the filter for imperial systems to discover if there are some in your neighborhood. Works like a charm.
You can also search for Achernar. You might not have a permit to enter the system, but the surrounding systems will be mostly imperial too.

anyway.. OP, I believe one of the closest to Sol is Liaedin. Off the top of my head.
It's downstairs... so to speak (in relation to Federation)
I decided to stick closer to the federation side of the core systems, I did some exploringin empire space. They are really hurting for good metal resources.

Just today I was fiddling with the filters.It's helping me a lot to set population filters along side faction filters... there are a few hidden gems in those sliders.
hmm okay, i gotta figure out this zoom thingy. But yea i use the filter and everything turns grey haha. even with the razer nostromo, voice attack, and a 7 button joystick there is simply not enough buttons, also the fact that the galaxy map doesn't like sharing mapped buttons doesn't help. Its not like hitting the self destruction button will work while looking at galaxy map.
