Where is the epic screenshots thread?

Yeah this is a good idea. As it stands we just have random commanders throwing up their own little threads. I mean there is nothing wrong with that but it would be cool to have a sticky thread or something with peoples favorite screen shots!

it's awaiting the ability to TAKE epic screenshots
you know being able to remove the HUD and ship from the picture and also to be able to take a 4rd person of your ship with the paintjob you bought for it that you can only see part of when outfittting your own ship!
That said Elitegalaxy has sme excellent shots, they would just be more of them with some simple obvious changes to the game screenshot system

yea it's a bit sad, that we can't properly capture the beauty of Elite
in beta most people were flying Sidewinders and therefore the screenshots were very nice and clean
now most people fly other ships .. so we have a lot screens with cockpits in the way

Just buy a sidewinder then ... Don't see the issue myself .. Once we can move ships around it will help as you just bring your sidewinder to where you want to take pics / videos

the problem is, even if i would do it, there's still plenty of other people posting on EliteGalaxy, and everybody should use Sidewinders if they want to make a screenshot? don't think so.
I found the main problem with EliteGalaxy is that they only really handle landscape shots well, portrait shots get kinda screwed up in the display. Besides that, it's an excellent site for sharing your best screenies. I prefer to host on Flickr though, as you retain control over your own pictures, it allows friendly links for sharing content on forums etc, and people can download the original very high quality files if they want (especially if you take 4K screenshots).
I worked around the EliteGalaxy issue by creating a compilation image and posting several portrait shots as one image:
