Where is the lava? Boston's Wreck

Relatively new to the game afa as exploring. Discovered Boston's Wreck by accident on the way back from a mining run. I noticed the Lava Spouts location in my info panel and went down to take a look. I am at the Tourist Beacon. Plenty of materials but no lava. Is it only present part of the time?

Lava as such really isn't in the game yet. Some of the vents will spout glowing ash or sparks or something. Volcanism so far is geothermal venting. We might be able to get more lava-looking stuff when/if fluids get introduced.
