Where should I be 1st time I start up my vr experience

My rift should be here within a week, my account got charged Friday before the holiday weekend here in the US.

Would like to hear some places I should park my ship before logging back on in vr for the first time. Never tried vr of any kind so I'm hoping for an "oh my god" moment and first place I'm looking is ED.

Parked in any space station Coriolis or bigger should be amazing. Platforms are neat to land on (I come in at weird angles), but not as viscerally impressive as seeing more "ground" above you.

Better yet, park yourself in an asteroid field. It's really something else in VR. You get the added benefit of seeing a space station from the outside on approach, which will make your jaw drop.

I'd also suggest being in a ship with a good view. Asp Explorer is great since you can look down too.
