Where to buy a ASP [discount] ?

Hi CMDR's

I want to buy this week an ASP. Do you know what systems (and station) there are discounts on ships and equipment? For your information, I don't have the permit for the founders system.

I'd keep saving and keep an eye on Galnet for a system that's having a sale (or join one of the community events as the rewards are limited time discounts) - although tbh the 10% you'll save it would probably be quicker to run a T6 for a couple of ours to earn that 600K Cr discount in real cash.

Couple of hours for 600K? It seems that it's better to not do any regular trading in T6, as trading rares in T6 usually gets you a couple of millions in that time.

Actually with My T6 I farm for 180.000 cr for 10 minutes between 2 stations (7 Ly), I think It's a good deal. The reedem it's for the ASP (of course) but mainly for the fitting.

... in which case at a million an hour you'll be fine making the equivalent of the 10% discount and be able to afford to kit out the Asp once you've bought it ! probably in the time it's taken for this thread to evolve :)

OP, don't forget to save plenty for some upgrades, insurance and maintenance costs.

I would not touch the Asp before having some 10 million credits plus buy price.

It is much more expensive to run than the T6 or Cobra, and the repair costs can be nasty.

As an Asp owner I endorse this completely. You need the B5 FSD and a decent FS straight away plus a few changes to D modules, plus 500K left over for insurance and trading funds. Use the wiki and www.edshipyard.com to plan ahead :)

I agree with that. I always buy my ships when I've 2X their selling price. It will be diffrent for the Anaconda ;) maybe :)

I just bought my ASP at founders world. Cost me about 6.2 million. I don't have any extra cash. Added 4 gimballed cannon with 2 fixed lasers. Did some bounty work and I am making good money. Took to my first conflict zone and got my ar@& handed to me. Took on another ASP that had better shields and weapons than me. Lost all money I'd made to repair. About 50percent damage cost $120000. I'm back to low risk bounty hunting and small time trading to build my cash. I know I am taking a risk but I'm not going to winge if it goes wrong.
