Newcomer / Intro Where to buy an Adder?

I have amassed enough credits to buy myself an Adder! Unfortunately I am unable to locate one at the moment and so would love a pointer or two to the nearest ship yard that has one.

I am currently in and around the Alrai sector berthed at Hartsfield Landing

Filter the galaxy map to show large, high tech systems and head off to one of those. They often have the biggest range of equipment and ships.

It's quite a smaIl ship ... So just look at the systems around your area and go for the starports with shipyards and large + populations

I've had a bit of a hunt around in the systems I've passed through on my freight runs but managed zip so far. I think most of those systems are small population-wise though.
I'll make a special effort tonight. I have enough credits to afford the Adder and the insurance.

PS where do i buy insurance? I've not bothered with it for my Sidewinder but as I'm spending 80,000 + cr on the Adder I thought it would be wise

You don't need to buy the insurance separately. When you buy your ship, is it insured automatically. I.e. if you die, you'll get an offer to re-buy your ship with all the current modules for 5% of the original price. You can see your re-buy costs (taking into account current upgrades) in the right-hand panel, below your credit balance.

I had the same trouble as you looking for an Adder, couldn't find one for love or money.

Eventually tracked one down in Eravate.

I wish there was a way to see the galaxy map when not in the game..... Like now.. from my work lap top..... at work.
