Where to buy mining lasers?

I'm going to lay off of bounty hunting for a while until they get that bug fixed with federation security flagging you as wanted for attacking wanted NPCs.. So in the mean time I was going to pick up a mining laser and have a hand at that but I couldn't find anyplace that sold them last night. Are they only sold in certain system?

A system with extraction economy might be a good place to look. Oh, and you're going to need refinery with that mining laser as well.

Remember you'll need a refinery installed as well I'd suggest one with 3 bins or more so you can refine at least 3 types of ore, look for systems with metallic asteroid clusters you'll have a better chance of getting the "good stuff" gold palladium etc

practically anywhere, man. industrial systems for sure. In fact, I haven't seen a system yet that DOESN'T sell one, albeit im not exactly looking for it.

As well as the refinery do I need to have a cargo mod installed? I mined but couldn't do anything with it after I moved it from the hopper. I have the first Sidewinder and it doesn't start with a cargo hold fitted.
