Newcomer / Intro Where to find better weapons?

Are there any better weapons out there or are they all the same quality per type?
I can not seem to find a Gimballed Cannon better then an E1
or a turreted Pulse Laser better than a G1
It seems to be the same where ever I go.

They are the same wherever you go.

The class of the weapon is determined by the weapon type. A fixed pulse laser will be higher class than a gimbled pulse laser as they are slightly bigger and do more damage (because the laser weapon can be bigger as it doesn't need to accommodate the gimble). But to get higher rated weapons (more damage) you need to change weapon type, which in turn determines how you play.

You can get a better pulse laser but only by upgrading your ship. A pulse laser which is designed to fit into a small slot does less damage than a medium slot etc.

As with most things in life, it's all about size. Forget the letter ratings and concentrate on the numbers - 1 is small, 2 medium and 3 large.
Equipping your ship with weapons will all depend on the size of the bays you have available. You can't put a medium (2) weapon into a small (1) bay, or a large (3) into a medium.
You can however put smaller weapons into larger bays.
Sometimes you will have to do this if the station you are outfitting from does not have sufficient Tech level to supply the better weapons. If you have the credits always outfit at wealthy, high tech systems - they will have the best selection of weapons.

There are actually also a size 4 weapons for ex. anaconda's they are called huge but there are only a few kinds of weapons awaible in size 4... NO lasers or multicannons...

I can't seem to find a Medium Gimballed cannon. I haven't looked that hard, but usually I find any part in four stops or less; checked about 10-15 high tech systems and not a thing.

I have medium gimballed on my Fed Dropship - picked them up in Jameson's Memorial in Shinrata Dezhra but you do need a permit for there.
Another good Outfitting station is Dalton Gateway - one of the LHS systems (3447?) NOT Odudoro.
